THE LAVENDER EFFECT® is a proud nonprofit project of Community Partners that is Advancing the Future of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+) and Allied Heritage and Culture! Our Oral Histories Project, Participatory Workshops, PRIDE Explorer® App, Guided Tours, and Pop-Up Exhibits reach a broad audience to share the experiences and wisdom of LGBTQ+ pioneers. Documenting, teaching and celebrating LGBTQ+ Heritage and Culture also helps to demystify our diverse community, reduce shame, combat homophobia, and empower youth.
