Help me help Local Flaggers will be the beneficiaries of this campaign, including Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Palm Springs. These include seasoned and new flaggers who we haven't met yet.

Hi all,

I wanted to do something good and make the world a better place. When I found out that There is a deficit of flagging communities in the Los Angeles area. This art form was dormant in the area, which used to have a thriving flagging community back in the 90’s. But many flaggers have either moved away or passed on, As a result, LGBTQ+ heritage and culture is being erased. , I knew I had to help.

That's why I created a fundraiser to support THE LAVENDER EFFECT. Their campaign to Regular local flagging programming utilizing local venues. Gather and plan local and flagging events as a group. Be hosted by local bars and/or clubs that would provide a stage or spot for flaggers to take turns. Opportunities for new people to learn flagging, paying it forward to a new generation of people. Holding classes before events to learn basic moves or for people who have never learned before. will A whole new generation of folks taking on this art form, bringing back flaggers who remember it from before, intergenerational activity, and community building! All different methods and moves for people to learn, And people who just want to enjoy and watch, people who want to do other flow arts like fanners. People who want to teach and pay it forward.—and you can be a part of it.
